Gatorade's nasty ingredient: good for preventing fire, terrible for us

So what's your favorite flavor of flame retardant? We can't decide between lemon-lime or fruit punch. Gatorade — everyone's favorite plastic-bottled thirst quencher — contains brominated vegetable oil (BVO). Bromine is the same stuff they put on fabrics so they won't catch on fire.
